The Trail of Tears

The Trail of Tears was a common name for the removal and movement of thousands of Indians within the US during Andrew Jackson's presidency. Following the Indian Removal Act in 1830, thousands of Indians were taken from their homes all throughout the West and taken to designated lands in Mississippi and other areas. These lands were known for the brutalness, the government was bsiccally sending the Indiands to their death, as the lands were impossible to farm on, dry, and had little to no wildlife making it near impossible to live on. However the Trail of Tears is reffering to the actual procses of moning Natives into from their old homes into heir new homes since the government cared little about what the natives did or thought, they were unpleasant when it came to carring for them. They beat them, starved them and thousand of the natives moving to their new homes were killed on the trips to their new homes. Image result for trail of tears
