Steve Jobs Who?
A more well known fact is that Steve Jobs was a college dropout. He attended Reeds College for a year and a half before leaving. His favorite class was calligraphy, which clearly affected the typography and font of Apple products. Steve's final words were, "Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow", and there has been no reasoning or explanation as to what this meant. His signature dress code included a black turtleneck, Levis jeans and sneakers. It is said that he has close to one hundred Levis jeans throughout his lifetime.
Steve Jobs was adopted, and only met his biological sister at the age of twenty seven years old. He tracked his sister, Mona Simpson, a famous author later in life. She lived with their biological parents, and wrote her first novel about her home life called, Anywhere but Here. It is a general mystery as to why Job's named his company Apple. It is speculated that it is because of his dietary choices, relating to his time as a fruitarian.
Steve Jobs was fired from Apple once, but rejoined back at the CEO in 1997. He was considered to be a tough boss, following strict rules and principles. He actually had a team dedicated to studying emotion. They would study the feeling and excitement of opening their packagings and receiving the products. He also patented all of his inventions, including the glass staircase at the Apple store. He had close to three hundred patents under his name.
Steve Jobs was a popular 19's technology icon, who influenced and shaped the modern world we live in today. Today, there are approximately 700 million people holding Iphones which started as a figment of Steve Job's imagination.
Good job on the post Keren. It was very interesting to read about Steve Jobs' past since he is a very influential person, especially in Silicon Valley. After looking more into his past, I found out that at age 13 he had gotten a summer job at HP after calling Bill Hewlett, the co-founder of the company. I found this interesting because that is exactly the kind of ambition you would expect to see from the future founder of an extremely successful company.

Nice Job! Very relevant! The quirkiness of Steve Jobs was highlighted in your post and the fact that he grew up so close to us. I believe he lived in Mountain View with his adoptive parents when he was younger. He even went to the local school Monta Loma! I think its really important to talk about the kind of person it takes to be successful and create this whole new different market. At least in my mind I see the apple company as one of the main founders of the industry of course along with Microsoft and Intel and many others. His ruthless nature which touched on was definitely something he was well known for! You should totally look at the source I found it goes into debt about his early childhood!
