Why Does the American Form of Government Work?

Essay No. 10
One reason that the American form of government works is that the way that thinks are decided go based on a majority vote. In the Federalist Essay No. 10 it says, "A common passion or interest will, in almost every case, be felt by a majority of the whole; a communication and concert result from the form of government itself; and there is nothing to check the inducements to sacrifice the weaker party or an obnoxious individual." When something comes into questioning it can typically be solved in the American government by taking a vote that is then answered with whatever the majority of people decides. This can obviously raise some issues with the minority since their opinions will essentially not be able to be answered in the way that they would hope for. However, it can't really be argued that this form of government is unfair.
It also says, "No man is allowed to be a judge in his own cause, because his interest would certainly bias his judgment, and, not improbably, corrupt his integrity." This is an extremely important idea, people cannot be pushing for something and giving a vote if it is something that they themselves are such big advocates for. It simply does make it a fair situation for others.
Essay No. 51
Another reason that the American form of government works is that their main goal is to get justice. It says in Federalist Essay No. 51, "Justice is the end of government. It is the end of civil society. It ever has been and ever will be pursued until it be obtained, or until liberty be lost in the pursuit". This is saying that justice has always been the governments number one goal and always will be the main goal. This is very important to have in a form of government because if the goal is anything except getting to a fair outcome then you cannot expect your people to agree with the government and should not be surprised if there is some kind of retaliation.
This essay was Madison explaining that the purpose of the essay is to help the readers understand how the structure of the proposed government makes liberty possible. Each branch should be, in Madison's opinion, mostly independent. This is shown in the quote, "First. In a single republic, all the power surrendered by the people is submitted to the administration of a single government; and the usurpations are guarded against by a division of the government into distinct and separate departments." He then goes on to explain more reasons for this.
Overall I believe that two reasons that the American form of government works is that people are always focused on getting justice for whatever the case may be. The other reason is that since the government system is based on a majority vote, you will see that people will appreciate the fact that their opinion and ideas in political cases will actually be deemed as useful and will accurately reflect the outcome.
