Presidential Pets

Please enjoy the crazy pets that every single past president has has and even Trump! To anyone who want's to read the funniest one in my opinion (check out Trumps).

1) George Washington has two horses one named Nelson and the other Prescott, plus a bunch of dogs!
2) John Adams: A single horse named Cleopatra.
3) Thomas Jefferson had 2 grizzly bears given to him by Lewis and Clark. He kept them on the White House lawn for some time. A mocking bird named Dick. Two Shepard dogs named Bergere and Grizzle.
4) James Madison he has pet parrot that outlived both himself and his wife.
5) James Monroe he had two dogs and a horse.
6) John Quincy Adams has an alligator that lived in the White House for many months and his wife raised silkworms.
7) Andrew Jackson had a pet parrot named Poll and was said it cursed at his funeral.
8) Martin Van Buren was given two tiger cubs while he was president.
9) William Harrison had a billy goat and a cow named Sukey
10) John Tyler had: Two Italian Wolfhounds,  Greyhound dog named Le Beau, Canary called Johnny Ty, and a horse named General
11) James Polk had no animals.
12) Zachary Taylor had an old horse named Whitey. The problem was that people would take a hair from his tail for a souvenir.
13) Millard Fillmore had no animals
14) Franklin Pierce was given two "sleeve dogs." They were small enough to sit on a saucer. He kept one and gave one to Jefferson Davis.
15) James Buchana had a large Newfoundlander named Lara. He was sent elephants which he gave to the zoo. (think of getting elephants as a present!!)
16) Abraham Lincoln's children had a pet turkey. Lincoln gave the turkey a pardon so it wasn't killed and eaten. His son had two goats named Nanny and Nanko.
17) Andrew Johnson had two Jersey cows at the White House. He also kept white mice.
18) Ulysses S. Grant loved horses and horse racing. He had numerous horses during his life. But while at the White House his children had ponies named Reb and Billy Button.
19) Rutherford Hayes, his wife loved pets. They these while in the White House: 3 birds, 4 cat, 5 dogs (including a Greyhound dog named, Grim, Elkhound named Weejie and a had Sheperds named Hector and Nellie), 1 goat, 1 peacock, the first Siamese cat in America.
20) James Garfiels had a dog named Veto.
21) Chester Arthur had no pets.
22) Grover Cleveland had a mocking bird, several canaries, and a small dog (1.5 pounds).
23) Benjamin Harrison had pet goat named Whiskers.
24) William McKinley had a parrot. It is said that it could whistle Yankee Doodle.
25) Theodore Roosevelt had many pets including a garden snake named Emily Spinach, a black bear cub named Jonathan Edwards, various dogs, a Badger named Josiah, Multiple Ponies, one Macaw, and a Hamster.
26) William Taft liked milk so he had cows graze on the White House lawn. The cows were named Mooly Woolly and Pauline. Pauline was the last cow to graze on the White House lawn.
27) Woodrow Wilson had a pet sheep that grazed on the White House lawn.
28) Warren Harding Has a dog ans a Canary named Bob
29) Calvin Coolidge had a Bird Dog named Palo Alto, A Bull Dog named King Cole, Chows named Blackberry, Rough and Ruby, Collies named Boston Beans, Rob Roy, Prudence, Prim and Bessie, Sheep Dogs named Calamity Jane and Eaglehurst Gillette, Terroer named Peter Pan. A racoon, And one cat named Tiger.
30) Herbert Hoover had an Irish Wolfhound named Patrick, Fox Terriers named Sonnie and Big Ben, Eskimo dog named Yukon, and Elkhound named Weejie.
31) Franklin D. Roosevelt had a black Scottie named Fala. Perhaps the best know of all of the White House pets.
32) Harry S. Truman had a pet goat named called Dewey's Goat. (Look up what it means to "Get your goat!")
33) Dwight Eisenhower had a dogs named Heidi a Weimar and Spunky.
34) John Kennedy had dogs - One named Pushinka was a gift from Nikita Khrushchev, Soviet Leader, They had a horse called Macaroni, A cat, A Rabbit, Ponies, Hamsters, Birds.
35) Lyndon Johnson had Beagles named Him and Her. (He was criticized for picking them up by their ears.) The Johnson's had a large farm in Texas. So he had numerous horses, cows, extra.
36) Richard Nixon had a Cocker Spaniel named Checkers, an Irish Setter named King Timahoe, A French Poodle named Vicky, and Yorkshire terrier named Pasha.
37) General Ford had a dog named Liberty
38) Jimmy Carter had a dog named Grits
39)  Ronald Reagan has a fish given to him by a young boy and a dog named Rex.
40)  George H. Bush had a Springer Spaniel named Millie
41) Bill Clinton had a cat named Sox. Sox was the first Presidential pet to have its own web site. Also a Labrador Retriever named Buddy.
42) George W. Bush Springer Spaniel named Spot. It is the son of Millie.
43) Barrack Obama had a Portuguese Water dog named Bo.
44) Donald J. Trump No Pets! He disliked dogs and he would not let his wife bring her dog when she moved in his house.
